The biggest concern of parents and students is that how to prepare for Maths Exam? Whether you have studied throughout the year or not but these few days before the exams are very crucial. With proper and thorough planning one can crack Maths exam.
What to do:-
- Practice as many sample papers (Board Papers) as you can.
- Make a note of repeated types of problems.
- Make a list of formulae chapter wise and stick in your study room (or bedroom or staple on the calendar). You must go through this list of formulae at least twice in a day.
- Try to make concept map (or memory map) chapter wise for quick revision.
- Don’t solve each and every problem from textbook, try to solve one problem of each type.
- You may prepare chapters according to weightage of chapters.
Be careful about handwriting and presentation. - In case of geometry, make diagrams to understand questions in a better way.
- Make sure that you have attempted all the questions.
What not to do:-
- Don’t take new things to do at the last moment.
- Don’t sit for more than two hours at a stretch. Take breaks.
- Don’t think of the previous papers whether you have written it properly or not. Move on.
Time Management:-
Time management is very crucial which will boost confidence and also help in completion of paper within the time limit.
Maximum marks = 90 Marks & Time =3hours
90 Marks = 3Hours
90 Marks = 3 x 60 minutes
90 Marks = 180 minutes
1 Mark = 2 minutes
Therefore you can take 2 minutes for writing 1 mark problem.
Similarly 4 minutes for 2 marks problem.
6 minutes for 3 marks problem
8 minutes for 4 marks problem
Section A: 4 Questions x 1 marks = 4 x 2 = 8 minutes
Section B: 6 Questions x 2 marks = 12 x 2 = 24 minutes
Section C: 10 Questions x 3 marks = 30 x 2 = 60 minutes
Section D: 11 Questions x 4 marks = 44 x 2 = 88 minutes
Maintain uniform speed so that you can save at least 2 minutes in each section. i.e. 8 minutes which you can utilise for cross checking. Equation of Success is sum of all small efforts multiplied to planning and its execution.
